<p>The invention concerns the local dilation of physiological ducts such as veins and arteries to reduce blood circulation disorders and in particular risks of infarct caused by the occlusion of a vessel, for example of the myocardium. The prosthesis comprises a sheath (1) consisting of cylindrical modules (2) formed by an assembly of bars (8) defining peripheral meanders and comprising sinuous longitudinal rectilinear elements (4) capable of being lengthened or shortened, the bars being made integral such that a module consists of closed patterns each comprising four rectilinear elements. Said prosthesis is known per se and has been in use for several years. There exist several models, produced by different techniques.</p> |
