A disposable hygienic article, in particular a diaper, an incontinence product or incontinence insert, has a fastening system (60) for detachably linking a rear region (6) and a front region (4) of the hygienic article placed on the user and for fixing the used article in the rolled-up or folded state before it is thrown away or disposed of. The fastening system (60) has a first fastening section (62) with retaining means (72) in the rear region (6) and a second fastening section (64) with matching retaining means (90) in the front region (4). The first fastening section (62) can be positioned on the second fastening section (64) when the rear region (6) and front region (4) are linked, to allow the retaining means (72) and matching retaining means (90) to be mechanically joined. The retaining means (72) of the first fastening section (62) are adhesive.
