<p>The invention pertains to a method of producing optically functional film which gives excellent productivity and is low in cost without reducing the orientation of the substrate, by using a specific solvent and a specific film as the substrate. The method of producing the optically functional film comprises the steps of laminating a high-molecular liquid crystal material onto a rubbed cellulose derivative film with a substitution degree of 0.6 to 2.8 by casting a solution of the high-molecular liquid crystal material in an aromatic ether and/or an aromatic ester, and orienting it.</p> |
