The mould body producing process involves filling a pot-shaped bottom mould (6) with a preset amount of plastic argillaceous material and pressing it into a pot shaped moulded body by means of a rotating moulding punch (10) which forms an inner mould. After the removal of the mould punch, the bottom mould is immediately moved out of the pressing position to the removal position. In this position, the moulded body is removed. Immediately after this, the pot-shaped bottom mould returns to its pressing position.
