The device has a solar absorber with an integrated heat exchanger function, to heat fresh air coming into a building. Two transparent covers are positioned parallel to a solar absorber layer and at a relative distance, on the intake side. The space between absorber layer and inner cover is a fresh air channel, and the space between the covers is an outlet air channel, so that the inner cover serves as a heat exchanger layer between incoming and outgoing air. The outer cover consists of several transparent layers or a transparent heat insulation material. The inner cover has an enlarged surface or cooler ribbing, or consists of a material of high heat conductivity.
