The invention relates to a load-absorbing and sound-absorbing arrangement for a bodywork component (1) of a motor vehicle, comprising a first essentially panel-shaped element (2) and at least one sound-absorbing element (3) which is connected to the said first element (2). The invention is characterized in that the said sound-absorbing element (3) comprises at least one first section (10) which is designed with load-bearing properties. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such an arrangement. The invention provides an improved arrangement which, for example, can be used for an engine bonnet of a motor vehicle and which entails a reduced weight and simpler manufacture than in the case of previously known engine bonnets.
