Method and apparatus for operating an assembly of nozzles

When one nozzle or nozzle group is out of operation the fluid remaining between the shut-off valve and the nozzle or nozzle group in the fluid supply line is removed against the normal flow direction of the fluid via a drain pipe which branches off from the fluid supply pipe between the shut-valve and nozzle and can be shut by a valve. The fluid remaining in the supply line can be removed through a drain branching off from the multi-way shut-off valve. The nozzles are twin-substance nozzles whereby apart from the fluid medium a gaseous medium can also be supplied to each of these nozzles or nozzle groups through supply lines and the fluid medium is vaporized by this gaseous medium. The gas supply can be shut-off by a valve.
