The probe (1) is contained in a protective pipe (3) open towards the gas-container (2) of the apparatus. The exterior of the protective pipe has a cooling jacket (4) through which coolant flows. The fluid flowing through the protective pipe enters the gas container as a free jet. The protective pipe consists of a core pipe (7) with concentric casing pipe (8). The cooling jacket protrudes on the end side of the protective pipe and defines an orifice part (11) which widens out in a funnel shape towards the gas container. The core pipe contains the probe.
