<p>The array has radiating elements (1) individually commanded by active command modules in amplitude and phase (2). The adaptive formation units act on the two orthogonal planes. The first direction adaptive formation (5) calculates the beam signal in a first direction, determining corrections to the reception signal. The second direction adaptive formation (7) calculates the beam in the second direction, determining corrections in the second direction. The beam calculations in the sub-networks add corrections to remove jamming and noise related signals. A summer adds the resultant outputs in the two dimensions.</p> |
