<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a non-woven fabric having excellent flexibility and voluminous touch and useful for artificial leathers, etc., by subjecting an interlaced web comprising specific fibers in a prescribed ratio to a thermal treatment to shrink the surface area of the web in a prescribed amount and subsequently subjecting the web to a thermal treatment without shrinking the surface area of the web. CONSTITUTION:An interlaced web comprising (A) a highly shrinkable polyester fiber having a shrinkage degree of >=35% in 70 deg.C water and (B) a latently crimpable polyester fiber generating three-dimensional crimps at a dry heat temperature of >=100 deg.C in an A:B weight ratio of 20/80-80/20 is subjected to a thermal shrinkage treatment to shrink the surface area of the web in an amount of >=30%, and while the web is controlled so as substantially not to change the surface area thereof, the web is further subjected to a thermal treatment at 100-220 deg.C to provided the objective non-woven fabric.</p> |
