PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and speedily discharge gas and improve safety of a battery by, at the rise of an internal pressure, first means for discharging gas outside of a container cooperating with second means for holding an assembly inside of a container constituted so as to make a space that gas flows between the assembly and the container interior wall. SOLUTION: Means for enabling gas collection is constituted to discharge gas by a cavity cylindrical structure 40. This structure 40 divides an electrochemical bundle into an internal half assembly 41 and an external half assembly 42. In addition, the structure 40 is constituted by an interior wall 43 and an exterior wall 44 partitioning a space 45 for collecting the gas and conveying it to an air ventilation path 12.
