PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stapling at a desired position where an image is considered on a recording paper, with a simple operation by specifying a stapling position with respect to an original image and binding the recording papers at a position thereon corresponding to the specified stapling position. SOLUTION: A desirable stapling position is decided in consideration of relations with the original image, while an original set on an original tray 31 is confirmed and specified as the cross coordinate of a lever 38a and a lever 39b. Thus, a stapler 70 is moved to the position corresponding the specified coordinate, to execute a stapling operation at this position. In such a case, control is executed to make the relative positional relation between the original image and the specified stapling position the same as the relation between a recorded image and a stapling operation position. Thus, in a recording paper processing unit, the recording papers as copies ejected from a copying machine main body are ejected into an ejected paper tray or housed in a stapling tray, to be aligned and then, bound by the motor-driven stapler. |
