PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of fixation creases caused by curling at the time of executing a both-side mode and further, the missing of an image caused by a failure in fixing by setting a fixing temp. in the both-side mode, to make it almost the same as that in a one-side mode, at the time of starting copying and switching the fixing temp. to a low one, after a specified time lapses. SOLUTION: A control part 44 executes control for keeping the surface temp. (fixing temp.) of a fixing roller at a prescribed value, by the ON/OFF control of a voltage applied to a heater 30 through a heater driving circuit 48, based on the temp. detected by a thermistor 40. When copying conditions for the both-side mode is inputted through a final control element 46 and a copying operation is started, the fixing temp. is set to be almost the same temp. as that in the one-side mode by the control part 44. After the specified time lapses, the control part 44 executes the control for switching the fixing temp. to a prescribed one lower than that in the one-side mode. The temp. of the end parts of the fixing roller is always kept to be the temp. lower than a fixation creases generating temp. |
