PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a device for holding a sheath put on a material take-up pipe having a two-dimensional shape to be effectively connected to the pipe rotatably driven around the longitudinal axis by the engagement effect of at least one element of holding elements with the sheath. SOLUTION: The sheath holding device 10 has a hollow cylindrical pipe 15 which is developed as a pressurizing room, and the internal space of which is to be filled with a medium. Several holding elements 30, 30' are loaded on the pipe 15 so as to be distributed axially and circumferentially. Further, pressurized, thrust transmitting pieces 40, 40' which can move radially and slide outward to fit the sheath 5, are loaded on the respective holding elements 30, 30'. In respond to the reduction in pressure, the sheath 5 is released, and the thrust transmitting pieces 40, 40' are returned to the starting positions. |
