PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sliding bearing excellent in abrasion resistance, heat resistance and conductivity by melt-mixing a lubricating composition containing, as essential components, a polyphenylene sulfide resin with graphite, a tetrafluoroethylene resin and carbon black in specified amounts, extruding the melt into pellets and injection-molding the pellets. SOLUTION: A polyphenylene sulfide resin is dry-mixed with, as essential components, 10-30 wt.% spherical or the like-shaped graphite, 10-35 wt.% finely powdered tetrafluoroethylene resin and 2-10 wt.% carbon black, and the mixture is melt-mixed with e.g. a melt extruder and extruded into pellets. The formed pellets are injection-molded to form a sliding bearing. The polyphenylene sulfide resin is represented by formula I and is produced by reacting p-dichlorobenzene sodium disulfide at a temp. of 160-250 deg.C under an elevated pressure in an N- methylpyrrolidone. In the formula, -ph- is represented by formula II; Q is F, Cl, Br or CH3 ; and m is an integer of 1-4. |
