PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a piece of paper which is cut from a web, to be surely removed at all times when a sheet of the web is fed between a cutting cylinder and a folding cylinder of the folding machine of a rotary press. SOLUTION: A guide plate 2 for guiding the travel of a web 100 in the upstream in the traveling direction of the web 100 between a cutting cylinder 117 and lower nipping rollers 115, 116, over the full length across the width of the web 100, and straightening the end part 2b in the downstream in the traveling direction of the web 100 over the full length across the width of the web 100, is provided on the cutting cylinder 117 side of the web 100 among the lower nipping rollers 115, 116, the cutting cylinder 117, and a folding cylinder 118. When the web 100 is fed up to the position right before the cutting cylinder 117 and the folding cylinder 118 and the tip side of the web 100 is removed as loss paper, the operator holds the tip side of the web 100 so that the web 100 abuts on the end part 2b of the guide plate 2, and tears the tip side of the web 100 along the end part 2b in order for the web 100 to be cut in a straight line. |
