PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily detachable adapter for a frame holder which can deal with frames of various cross sections and prevent a stress from being applied to a single point as well as a string setting-up machine. SOLUTION: The adapter 10 for a frame holder is used for the frame holder, of a string setting-up machine, which is equipped with a pair of inner face support members for internally supporting two points, in the longitudinal direction, opposed mutually, in the frame part of a racket. Further, the adapter 10 is interposed between the inner face support members and the inner face of the frame part, with a contact part 4 which comes into contact with the inner face of the frame part and forms a V-shaped groove 5. In addition, the adapter 10 is equipped with a support means for retaining itself on the inner face support member of the frame holder. The support means is of such a structure that plural pass grooves 7 through which a gut set up on the frame part of the racket passes are formed by one of tapered parts 8 constituting the V-shaped groove 5 and the deepest part 9 of the tapered part 8 in such a manner that the pass grooves 7 are notched out across a length from the contact part 4 side to its back face side. |
