PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably and easily set a performance sound without a sense of incongruity for a performer and to facilitate the setting operation of a parameter value by freely rotatably providing an operation key on a surface of an electronic instrument, detecting a rotational displacement amount when this operation key is operated and changing the setting value of a parameter from the setting value just before the operation key is operated in accordance with this rotational displacement amount. SOLUTION: In a performance sound parameter setting device 1, by clockwise/counterclockwise rotating a knob 2 while confirming respective setting values displayed on an LCD 4, a parameter corresponding to this knob 2, the setting value of e.g. a pitch is changed. When a tone is switched, the stored setting values of the respective parameters to already be set corresponding to the switched tone are set initially as the setting values of respective parameters and when the knob 2 is rotated, the setting value of the parameter corresponding to the knob 2 is changed from the stored setting value in accordance with its rotational displacement amount. Thus, a performer can set the performance sound easily and suitably without a sense of incongruity. |
