<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the sufficient smoothing effect without using an image data of high resolution and lowering the recording speed. SOLUTION: In an ink printer in which a line ink head formed of a plurality of ink jet nozzles disposed in the line shape is provided and the ink jet amount out of respective ink jet nozzles of the ink jet head is varied to vary the sizes of recording dots and form a two-dimensional image of multiple tone for a recording medium, the edge interpolation is carried out by using recording dots of sizes of respective tones used in the reproduction of tone. For instance, in the 8 tones of tone values of 0-7, recording dots of tone value of 3 are used as an interpolation data between edge interpolations.</p> |
