PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device which continues communication even if printing cannot be executed during communication since paper runs out and by which data can be recorded by providing a function for indicating the remaining quantity of printing paper for facsimile and the function of an electronic mail through a computer network. SOLUTION: Upon reception, data received by a communication control part 6 are printed in a printing part 5. In this case, a paper remaining quantity detection part 7 considers the remaining quantity of suitable paper. Namely, the remaining quantity of paper is measured. When it is larger than a prescribed value which is previously set, regular printing is executed. When it is smaller than the prescribed value, printing is not executed, a prescribed flag in destination data is searched and the electronic mail informing the destination of that the remaining quantity of paper is small is emitted. The electronic mail is transferred through a network interface 1 and the destination of the necessary electronic mail is stored in an electronic mail destination storage part 2. |
