PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of a nonvolatile memory and other storage devices such as a flash ROM or the like by transferring a required program from the magnetic storage device of a personal computer(PC). SOLUTION: When the power of the PC 100 is supplied, the control circuit 14 of this card type communication equipment 200 opens a gate 16, closes the gate 11 and disables an intra-card CPU 6. A CPU 1 can be connected to an intra-card RAM 9 and a peripheral circuit 10, however, since the gate 11 is closed, the intra-card CPU 6 can not be connected to them. The CPU 1 transfers the program 3 to the intra-card RAM 9, then closes the gate 16, opens the gate 11, enables the intra-card CPU 6 and executes the program transferred onto the intra-card RAM 9. Since the gate 16 is closed, the CPU 1 can not be connected to the intra-card RAM 9 and the peripheral circuit 10, however, the intra-card CPU 6 can be connected and the card type communication equipment 200 is operated independent of the PC 100. |
