PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an operation at the time of approaching a target word with fast scrolling by scrolling display contents of a word display area in response to key operations and moving an indicator that indicates a specific position of a scale. SOLUTION: This device consists of a controlling part, a displaying part, an inputting part, an image buffer, an attentional word storing part, a dictionary, a line boundary word storing part, a last word storing part and a scroll quantity storing part. The displaying part comprises CRTs or a LCD and shows plural images and a marker that shows an attentional position of each image. An display image is provided with an image B which shows the fixed width of leading parts of read KANA(Japanese syllabary) of words and an image C in addition to an image A that scrolls dictionary words, makes them correspond to one another and scrolls. That is, display contents of a word display area are scrolled in response to a key operation, and also an indicator that instructs a specific position of a scale is moved. |
