<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make distinguishable whether or not coupling members respectively fixed to conductors constituting a pair of power cables are surely engaged with each other. SOLUTION: Conductor connecting members 6 and 6 are respectively attached to the front end sections of conductors 2 and 2, and the front end faces of the members 6 and 6 are brought closer to each other in a state in which coupling members are not attached to the front end faces. When the front end faces are brought closer to each other, a first measured value is found by measuring the interval between distance measuring jigs 21 and 21 which are respectively attached to the specified positions of power cables 1 and 1. Then, the coupling members are fixed to the connecting members 6 and 6 and engaged with each other in the central part of an insulating block. When the coupling members are engaged with each other, a second measured value is found by measuring the interval between the jigs 21 and 21. Thereafter, whether or not the coupling members are complety engaged with each other is decided by comparing the first and the second measured values with each other.</p> |
