<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a communication quality by allowing a private communication equipment on a calling side to transmit added identification data and allowing an ATM exchange on the calling side to identify communication mode identification data to perform calling processing to reduce the system cost. SOLUTION: A voice compression system detecting part 2 analyzes data identifying a voice compression system, judges the voice compression system a communication equipment applies and supplies the judging result to a voice compressing system switching part 3 and an ATM line processing part S5. When the voice compression system is not applied to, a received voice signal is given band compression processing and sent to the part S5 by a voice compression part 4. When the voice compression system is applied to, the received voice signal is directly sent to the part S5. Based on the judging result, the part S5 selects one of the output of the part 4 and the output of the part 3 and adds identification data of a voice compression system to send a called side.</p> |
