摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject pump to be directly driven by the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine through belt drive, to eliminate a need for a corrugated packing to seal in an airtight manner the bearing case of a drive pulley, to provide high operation reliability and safety, to be excellent in minimum manufacturing cost and assembly cost, and to eminently reduce a fuel consumption cost of an engine. SOLUTION: In a pump for an automobile driven directly by an internal combustion engine through a pulley 4, a magnet 11 magnetized in a sector-form manner and having one or a number of poles is arranged above one of clutch shafts. A second clutch two-division part liquid-sealed by a non-magnetic separation wall 13 is arranged on the other clutch shaft. A histeresis disc 18 is arranged on the surface of the clutch positioned facing a magnet being a first clutch two-division part. The gap distance of a gap arranged between two clutch two-division parts is varied according to the current operation state of an internal combustion engine.
