PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for the production of aromatic hydrocarbons in which the distribution of a halogen amt. in the catalyst is uniform and as the result, the decomposition activity can be suppressed. SOLUTION: This halogen-contg. catalyst contains halogen compds. and has the uniform distribution of a halogenamt in the catalyst. Especially, in the figure which shows the relation between the distance in the width direction of a cross section (x: distance from one catalyst surface) and the X-ray intensity I by performing the linear analysis measurement of halogen atoms in one direction of the cross section of the catalyst using an electron probe microanalyzer(EPMA), the relation of α=[(F-F0 )/F]<=0.17 is obtd., wherein F is the integration of I (x) for (x) ranging from the one surface of the catalyst to the other surface, (F0 ) is the integration of I0 (x) which is the tangential line of the X-ray intensity curve at the minimal and minimum point of the curve for the same range of (x) for F. |
