<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the improvement of wear resistance and the adjustment of a weight balance for a golf club head of a titanium material to be comparatively easily using a carbide alloy. SOLUTION: This golf club head 1 comprises a flame spray coated layer 3 of a carbide alloy formed at an appropriate spot on the surface of a club head body 2 formed of a metal material containing titanium as a principal component and a hard coating layer 5 of a titanium compound formed on the layer 3, so that the head 1 is of a three-tier structure. The titanium compound of the coating layer 5 to be used is one or two or more types selected from among TiN, TiC, TiCN, TiAlN and TiAlCN.</p> |
