METHOD FOR BURNING PEARLITE AND BURNING OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for burning pearlite that can markedly reduce the production cost. SOLUTION: This method for burning pearlite comprises feeding purified pearlite in a dispersed state onto the surface of a flame through a perforated section provided at the bottom of a feed chute of a burning oven. The flame used has a sectional form, which is wider in the direction of travel of the flame. The burning oven comprises a burner for generating a flame, and a feed chute for introducing a purified pearlite into a flame of the burner, wherein a large number of holes are provided in the feed chute and the purified pearlite is dropped in a dispersed state through the holes. The burner jets a flame, which is wider in the widthwise direction of the feed chute. A guide plate for guiding the dropping of the purified pearlite is provided around the perforated section provided at the bottom of the feed chute of the burning oven.
