PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of a small quantity of residual ink at the time of replacing an ink cartridge by providing means for unloading an ink cartridge from a recorder, means for enclosing the inside of the ink cartridge, and means for reducing pressure in the ink cartridge. SOLUTION: When a hollow knob 133 is pulled up from a first position to a second positron in the direction of an arrow A, an ink containing part 110 is also lifted along with a cover 130. An ink supply part 120 is removed from a head part PH and then removed from the frame PF of a printer. The cover 130 is slid until a protruding/recessed stopping part 132 is engaged at a second position and fixed to the side wall 112. Consequently, the volume of an ink containing chamber 113 is enlarged and a negative pressure is generated therein. Ink in the ink containing chamber 113 is held in the ink containing part 110 by the negative pressure and the possibility of inadvertent leakage of ink from the ink supply part 120 is eliminated. Consequently, an ink cartridge 100 can be replaced under clean state with no anxiety. |
