PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain power saving and to prevent a guide noise or the like from being mixed into a transmission/reception signal in a communication standby state by automatically setting a power-down mode in the communication standby state. SOLUTION: In concerning a device for executing this method, power saving and the amplification prevention of guide noises are attained by controlling the operation of any one of a speech circuit 2, A/D and D/A converter part 3 and voice CODEC part 4 or the combination of these parts through a power- down operation switching function part 53 for the power down operation of signals in the communication standby state. Furthermore, in order to prevent the noise generated by switching the power down mode on communication standby from riding on the transmission/reception signal, the operation of any one of a speech circuit 2, the A/D and D/A converter part 3 and voice codec part 4 or the combination of these parts is automatically controlled by a mute operation switching function part 52 concerning mute operation. |
