PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the tearing of the neck part of a self-support cable to facilitate and expedite the overhead line stringing work thereof. SOLUTION: This cable 1 is constituted with a potbelly section so that the cable 1 and a cable support wire 2 are sheathed with a common resin coating, and both are integrally connected in a neck part 3. Tearing cords 4, 4' are preliminarily buried in the neck part 3 so as to be continuously extended in the longitudinal direction of the cable 1. The resin coating is slightly tore from the side surface of the neck part 3, and the tearing cords buried in this part are cut to take out the end parts of the tearing cords. The end parts of the tearing cords 4, 4' are held to pull each of the tearing cords 4, 4' to each of the longitudinal side surfaces 3a, 3b of the neck part 3 of the cable, whereby the neck part 3 is vertically separated in the longitudinal direction by the tearing cords 4, 4', so that the connection of the cable 1 to the cable support wire 2 can be released. |
