PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging controller for rechargeable battery which can detect the discharge of a rechargeable battery, such as NiCd battery, etc., and the voltage drop of the battery due to memory effect and can surely back up the memory. SOLUTION: A charging controller for rechargeable battery is constituted, in such a way that the controller detects an output voltage Vo of a NiCd battery 18 by means of an A/D converter 19, when a main switch 21 of a main device is turned on, and when the voltage Vo is lower than a prescribed voltage value Vt, and increments a variable Cm which counts the number of discharging times. When the variable Cm exceeds a prescribed number of times, the controller is constituted so as to display a warning on a console panel 3. |
