摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the liquid crystal display device with high display quality and reliability which can suppress variation in liquid crystal characteristics due to ultraviolet rays from back light. SOLUTION: This display device is constituted by providing an ultraviolet-ray cut filter 1 which cuts components of <=280 nm in light wavelength over the entire end surface of a light transmission body 37 on the side where a cold cathode fluorescent tube 36 is arranged by adhesion using an adhesive layer 2, and providing ultraviolet-ray cut resin films 3 with similar characteristics on the outside surfaces of an upper electrode substrate 11 and a lower electrode substrate 12 at their outer peripheral parts where polarizing plates 15 and 16 are not arranged.
