SKIN-ADHERING PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION, IN PARTICULAR TRANSDERMAL THERAPEUTIC SYSTEM FOR THE RELEASE OF 17-'BETA'-ESTRADIOL TO THE HUMAN ORGANISM

Skin-adhering pharmaceutical preparation, in particular a transdermal therapeutic system for the release of the active ingredient 17-'beta'-estradiol. The concentration of the estradiol contained in dissolved form in said preparation is, in all matrix layers and, when an adhesive layer is present, also in the latter, between its saturation concentration in balance with a gaseous phase having less than 10 % relative humidity of air and its saturation concentration in balance with a gaseous phase having greater than 90 % relative humidity of air. Said preparation is characterised in that the amount of estradiol contained therein is at least three times the saturation soluble capacity measured for 95 % relative humidity of air, and the air enclosed in the packaging material is set to a relative humidity of air of between 5 % and less than 0.5 %.
