An ice skate assembly with a provision for the replacement of blades. As in other known assemblies, the new ice skate assembly comprises a carrier with a groove therealong within which a blade is received. However, in the novel assembly of the present invention, the blade is locked to the carrier by two or more threaded fastener means passing transversely through the blade at spaced intervals, an arrangement which advantageously permits rapid replacement of the blade using very simple tools. Alternatively, locking of the blade to the carrier is effected by two or more threaded fastener means passing upwardly through the carrier.
