The modular conveyor chain link comprises a link body with one edge having a seating with a narrowed opening facing the second side edge. A pin is inserted through the link body. The head end of the pin is mushroom-shaped and engages the seating by snap action insertion in a pin axial direction between the opposing side edges through the narrowed opening. Rollers are mounted on the pin between the opposing side edges such that the rollers rotate idly on the pin.
