Toughened polycarbonate compositions

Polymer compositions comprising: (a) a polyester; and (b) a graft copolymer having a core-shell structure with an ethylene- propylene rubber (EPR) core and a shell of vinylaromatic, (meth)acrylate and/or vinyl cyanide units grafted to the rubber. The rubber core of the graft copolymer may also contain units of a diene monomer such as ethylidene- norbornene, dicyclopentadiene or hexadiene (EPDM). The gel content of the EPR is preferably at least 40 wt. %. The polymer composition preferably contains 0.1-15 wt. % of the graft copolymer on the weight of polyester in the composition. Independent claims relate to a process for preparing the graft copolymer; and to graft copolymers having a core-shell structure with an ethylene-propylene rubber core and a shell of vinylaromatic, (meth)acrylate and/or vinyl cyanide units grafted to the rubber.
