The device includes a probe (10) with a cylindrical shape placed along the height of the reservoir of a steam generator. The probe has a support (12) with an electrode (14) presenting two successive conducting segments (14A, B). The two segments are made of metal rods linked via a resistor (16). The exterior surfaces of the electrode come in contact with the liquid in the reservoir. The two rods are held by an insulating sleeve (18) with a recess (19) which houses the resistor. The sleeve extremities are held by rings (20A, B) which ensures that water cannot reach the resistor. |
