At least four channels (8a-8d) are provided in a magazine (1) feeding bristles to a brush-making machine. The channels and lateral guides (7) defining the channels are dimensioned so that the overall width of the discharge end (3) is equal to or less than the distance between the filling tool (2) or machine plane and a divider notch (23) in it outer limit position. Additional feed devices (12) are provided along the supply channels. Preferably the supply channels are narrower at their discharge end than at the rear portion, being dimensioned according to the cross section of bundles of bristles to be supplied.
