Selection device to adjust automatic gearboxes on cars

The selection device adjusts automatic gearboxes in cars. It has a lever which can pivot in a plane and which can be locked by a locking member in the tilted position assigned to PARK. Only with the brake pedal operated can the locking member be moved out of the locking position into the unlocking position. The moving armature of a solenoid works with it through an intermediate lever. The armature (28) of the solenoid (26) can be moved vertically to the movement direction of the locking member (24). The intermediate lever (29) is formed from a rod-like connecting member (39) which on the one hand is linked to the armature of the solenoid and on the other hand, to the locking member. In the locking position of the locking member, it extends in its movement direction.
