<p>A method for calibrating the initial sensitivity of a roll eddy detecting apparatus and a roll eddy detecting apparatus which can be calibrated using the said method. The method comprises the following steps: a) detecting an artificial defect block and obtaining a first vector; b) generating an artificial defect analogue signal; b) generating an artificial defect analogue signal; c) adjusting the signal to make it consistent with the first vector; d) inputting the signal to the roll eddy detecting apparatus and adjusting the apparatus to enable it to give a warning. Where in the the detecting in step a) and the calibrating in step c) is accomplished by and impedance analyzing unit of the roll eddy detecting apparatus. The apparatus comprises an impedance analyzing unit having the function of displaying the impedance vector, and modulating and analyzing circuit and a warning circuit.</p> |
