<p>The present invention relates to a casing for examining coins and medals, wherein said casing includes a body (1) and a lid (2) both made of transparent material. The body (1) comprises a recess (3) for receiving the coin or medal, while the lid (2) is connected to the body (1) by mating surfaces and can be separated therefrom upon the application of a given force. The side surfaces of the body (1) and the lid (2) include radial ring-shaped ridges (6, 7) that define between each other an annular open groove having a width which is substantially equal to the thickness of a folder leaflet (29). Each of the outer end surfaces (9, 10) of the body and the lid includes an axial protection ridge (11, 12) in the shape of a ring. This invention also relates to a sealing ring for the casing, wherein said ring is made in the shape of an annular member that comprises at least three radial ridges extending towards the centre of said ring. This invention further relates to a folder that comprises leaflets (29) including cells in the shape of through-holes below the casing.</p> |
