Washing machines, in particular those that can be loaded through their casing, have hinged lids on their stainless steel washing drums (1). The object of the invention is to secure the fixed attachments of such drum lids, such as hinges (11, 12), hooks (7, 8), etc. on the main body of the drum lid in a more permanent and less costly manner than in the prior art. This object is achieved in that the attachments are secured to the main part of the subassembly by laser weld seams (13, 14).
