The invention relates to a recipient-specific transplant consisting of interstitial tissue comprising various differentiated autologously or genetically engineered and modified quasi-autologously colonized cells. In order to produce said transplant, allogenous or xenogenic tissue or material is subjected to enzymatic or chemical treatment to obtain a non-denatured practically cell-free collagen matrix with a loosened structure, which can be as fully and directly re-colonized with the desired cells as possible. The transplant thus obtained can be used immediately.
