A nebuliser (1) operated by a lever (14) is connected by a pressure tube to a control unit (5) which times the opening and closure of a valve (4) by two coaxial electromagnets (8,9). The valve (4) is opened during inhalation of vapour with the upper electromagnet (9) de-energised. During expiration with the lever (14) released, the electromagnets are activated alternately at a preselected freq. to interupt the outflow, assisting expectoration. USE/ADVANTAGE - By sufferers from astma or spastic bronchitis. Removal of mucus from air passages is improved by pulsatile ventilation at rate suited to individual patient.
