Combustion state detector for combustion engine

The state detector has a current detector (15,17,20) to detect the current between a mass and a combustion chamber igniter (12). An central electronic controller (30) receives the detector signals and supplies ignition signals to the igniter. An ignition controller receives the ignition signals on the basis of which drives the igniter. The detector, ignition controller and igniter are integrated into an auxiliary controller (1-4) which is separately connected to the central controller for each cylinder. The central controller detects the combustion state of the engine from the current detector and ignition signals, on the basis of which the igniter is controlled.
