The apparatus includes two mono slide apparatus of any type coupled mechanically together. Preferably, any illumination elements which can be connected to the mains (220V) can be used for transilluminating the slides. The illumination unit of the apparatus can be switched on and off using any switching element. Two or several optical lenses are provided in a common housing for viewing two slides.
