Safe, manually-read level indicator for transport container

The level indicator (1) for fluids in transportable containers (2) has a dip tube (11) with a float (13) at its lower end (12). There is an opening (8) which can be closed in the container cover (3) at the top of the tube. A guide unit (6) on the container base is located at the lower end of the tube. A rod (9) leads to the opening through the inside of the tube and is fastened to the guide unit. The cover opening forms a contact surface for the tube. Preferably a seal (16) forming part of the equipment is made of PTFE.
