<p>A thermoplastic-coated ammonium polyphosphate which is essentially composed of cores comprising ammonium polyphosphate, a thermosetting resin, either melamine monomer or a surface treatment, and so on, and thermoplastic coats covering the cores. The coated ammonium polyphosphate is excellent in resistances to water, acids, alkalis, ions and organic solvents, and thermoplastic resin compositions containing the coated ammonium polyphosphate as flame retardant can give moldings which are little lowered in mechanical strengths.</p> |
