Multimedia communication system

The communication system (MGS) includes subscriber terminals which are logged in through the subscriber at arbitrary places of the communication system, and comprises at least one cable-based access point and at least one radio-based access point, which are respectively connected to a core network (MGSC), over an exchange network with lower transmission rate and an exchange network with higher transmission rate. The required transmission rate is determined, and transmission paths are selected likewise over the exchange network with lower transmission rate and the exchange network with higher transmission rate, according to the determined transmission rate requirement.
